About Your Instructor

Ali Ryder 2

Hi, I'm Ali Ryder

They call me a HIFIS Goddess

I guess you could say I'm the world's leading expert on HIFIS 4. I run ACRE Consulting and have been helping communities make the most of it since 2016.

I do other things too, like travel and play ultimate frisbee, but mostly I'm a big nerd that's good with computers and likes explaining stuff. I've been working in the homelessness sector since I got my Master's degree in social planning in 2012. Now I'm a coach with the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness.

So, you're in good hands! I'll walk you through the ins and outs of what you need to know about HIFIS so you can spend most of your time actually helping the people who need your help the most.

Heidi Hiscock
Shelter Worker Training

Big improvement from the old HIFIS! Cant wait to try it out but I do like our notebooks and hand writing information. I would think it might feel cold and impersonal to use a computer during an intake. I found Ali Ryder to be very fast and effective communicator! Thanks for the training miss!

Also love the mailing lists between organizations!

I like the popcorn humor and yes I did chose it as an answer!!

Margaret Pitter
Shelter Worker Training

The training was very informative and interesting. I think we should have practical demonstration  every three month where we can assess situation and come up with more strategies to end homelessness.
